2210D 4WD Lever not engaging Drive Shaft

The 4WD lever has been coming out of 4WD very easily the past few months. Now today the 4WD quit working and the lever flops back and forth with no resistance at all. The roll pin that holds the lever to the engaging shaft is intact. Do I need to drop the box under the transmission to see what is going on? Or is there a common problem and solution? Any advise is much appreciated. BTW, I'm still looking for maunuals for a 2210 or 240. warm regards, keith zack

You should be able to get any manual you need from Hoye tractor.

2210D?? I can't read Japanese.

The parts manual does have Japanese descriptions but the great exploded diagrams & part numbers are all you are really looking for. You don't normally need descriptions when you can see the picture of the part. I don't have the 2210 online yet but if you email me I will send you back a diagram of what you will need to do to get your 4wd back up & running. There is a common failure point.
