Got the rear end disassembled this AM (really no big chore either).
Here is what I found: The stub end of the brake pinion is sheared off. I need another brake shaft (left side when seated in the operators seat).
Any sources out there and ~cost? I am going to call Wayne up at LMTC for a source this evening. Whew sure glad it was a simple solution with little detectable metal in the oil.
OK, now lets get her back together, I have work to do...time's a wasting!
Would you like photos of the rear emptied of the PTO assembly, axle and left axle housing removed? For a tractor so old, the internals are in great shape. very little burnish on the teeth and the splined shaft couplers are still tight!
Yanmar is a well engineered and strong ...for a small tractor, everything is beefed!
