I'm still trying to make up my mine which replacement tractor to get. Does anyone have a 2220 2wd? If so how do you like it? I think I might get one, as I have a gravel drive up a steep little hill. My 1700 would spin a lot, when trying to grade uphill, and that is the way I need to, as the rain washes it down. But thinking another 1000 lbs more or less, should help it to work, instead of spinning, as least as much. Any opinions on this??? Thanks

I have a ym2020 not as large as a 2220 but not far behind. on a steep hill 4wd is a must if you are foing to pull much of a load up the hill. In 2wd my tractor spins a lot with only a small load in the boxblade but with 4wd I can move a full 4' boxblade load of driveway that has washed down the hill.

If you are upgrading because of traction problems, I would definitely go with a 4WD. The extra driving wheel will make a lot more difference than extra weight on a compact tractor.
