Price Check 2230 Pricing

First,

I am new to this site and have been reading for some time. Thanks to all for the insight, knowledge and guidance that helped move me to purchase. I have been searching for the past 6-8 months for a good used tractor to help around my 2 acres. I am settling on a new Kubota 2230 here in Northern California because I just cannot fine anything decent used.

There is only one Kubota dealer nearby (within 100 miles) and they have quoted a price:

2230 w/211, 48" Gearmore Box scraper, and 48" Gearmore rotary mower - $13,900, includes 50 hr and delivery.

I see prices all over the map on these and the dealer told me he can't keep them more than a week on the lot. I know the west coast is tougher on pricing so I wanted to see if this was in line before I took the plunge.

In NY you can get 2230 with FEL, 60" MMM for over 1000 less than that.

Break down the individual prices and see where he's getting more money??

If you plan on having this model for a long time and don't care about selling it in the future to upgrade then it's a judgement call on you if you can live with this. If color isn't important then look at other options. Quality is good with the big 3 anyway so for dollar power you might want to shop a little more.

Getting a take it or leave it choice is hard to deal with for me. This is america and the land of choices right??

Here in Garner NC you can get the 2230 w/ 5' MMM and 4' boxblade for slightly less than $10,000. ( Taxes xtra )
That would break down to $9,700 for the tractor and $225.00 for boxblade. If you bought the pull type mower instead it would probably be less than that. Good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Are you sure this included the 60" MMM? That's $1800 alone and the list price on the 2230 is about $9900. That's a heck of a price if true! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif You would certainly never get close to that here in New England.

It's probably very close as I had one quoted before I decided to keep my mowing machine and just go with a larger tractor - priced @ $9,985 for BX-2230 w/ 54" MMM - $100 more for 60" deck.

Yes, that includes the 60" mower, I have one sitting in my backyard. ( Senter Tractor quoted the $9700.00 for 2230 w/ 60" MMM , although I got mine from The Tractor place in Knightdale NC on trade ) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
