2230 problems

My esteemed tractor owner companions,
I have a BX 2230 with a 60"MMM and FEL and need some help. The machine has only 19 hr. on it as I just purchased it in Jan. 2005. Problem 1) the MMM com unhooked from the left side raise arm when it transport. Problem 2) I was recently digging up a maple tree that was about 4" in diameter for the purpose of transplanting it. About half way through the job I noticed the the Fel was not raising very fast. It used to raise while tractor was at an Idle. the tractor must now be at 1/2 throttle to raise loader and it raises slow. The bucket will still curl and dump at normal speed. It will even curl and dump at an idle. A friend told me that Kubota was having problems with the o rings in the loader valve. Any suggestions would help. I am trying to save a trip to the dealer.

How are your fluid levels?

Have you disconnected and removed the FEL yet? Try disconnecting the quick connectors and reattaching them.

There may be some foreign material in the valve itself. When I did the 50 hour on my BX2230 I did find some small shavings in the strainer screen. I also had problems with the float detent not working on the FEL control at about 40 hours, too. I think that may have been foreign material, too. Doing the 50 hour oil change helped the FEL operation and the drive operation quite a bit.

If the FEL is less than 1 year old, it is still under warranty, you can let the dealer deal with it, too.

Thanks for the advice. It went to the dealer early this morning and they called at 4opm and informed that it was fixed. I did not get to talk to the service tech as they were gone when I got there. The work order stated that they adjusted the spool on the on the valve for the loader and readjusted mower linkage. I am back in business.
