Is a 5' mower too heavy for this tractor. I feel like a 4' is a better fit but I'm having a hard time finding one.

5 footers are all over the place around here.

My place has some pretty steep patsure areas that I need to mow.

Are you asking about a mower, as in finish mower, or about a rotary cutter (often called Bushhog, which is a brand that makes both implements)? Mower, no. Rotary cutter, yes. 4' rotary cutters are at least as common in every area I've ever been as are 5'. Maybe not used, but certainly new.

OK rephrase then; Is a 5' rotary cutter too heavy for this tractor?

Around here if I asked about a "rotary cutter" nobody would know what I was talking about.

I'm in the market for used equipment.

I have a 5" rotary cutter on my 226D. It is wide enough to cut the same width as the tractor. I find that really heavy growth will slow the tractor. I have three weights on the front weight bar. On level ground it has not been an issue, but I'm not comfortable with it on slopes.

Plus, mine has no ROPS.
