I have a New Holland 230GM mower deck and need new blades. There are two different kinds "84521625 fan blades" and "AUB182207 high lift blades". I don't know what the difference is in these two blades, they are about the same price $29. I think one needs and extra spacer.

Second question, I have a boomer 1030 3 cylinder diesel, and the owners manual gives about 10 different engine oil options Ambra super gold 10w40 10w30 15w40 20w50 5w30. I only use it in the summer to cut grass, no winter time use. Any oil recommendations? And the oil filter is $18 Part No. 84475542, is there anything cheaper.

Last question, I started loosing power at full rpm and it was smoking a little, never smoked before, engine only has 200 hours. I was cutting some high grass and the engine started bogging down. I had it at low idle and that was the first time it ever sputtered and died. It feels like its not getting fuel or bad fuel. I don't know what happened, maybe water in the diesel, plugged filter. I am going the drain the tank, add fresh diesel and additive and change the fuel filter. Should I also flush the injectors? Is there an easy way to flush the injectors?

With only 200 hours on the engine I wouldn't do anything to the injectors. I have a New Holland skid steer that is picky about the air cleaner. When it gets dirty ( and they will ) the air filter lights comes on at high RPM's slow down the engine and the light goes out. That indicates a dirty filter. It has 2 and the large outside filter just needs blown out with an hose then its good to go. Last time it done this blowing out the filter did not help so I had to replace the smaller inside filter. You don't have to replace the outside just clean it. I know your boomer is probably different but just letting you know what mine does with a dirty air filter.

If your losing power at higher RPM's then it's more than likely the fuel filter.

About your oil just check the temperature range your running it in and that should narrow down your oil choice. During cold weather use, the common thing is use a little lighter viscosity or lighter weight oil. Trying to figure out the exact right oil requires a lot of calculations which I don't know so I just choose somewhere in the middle and go with it.

Either one of the blades you referred to is recommended for your mower. All I know is the high lift blades have the back side of the blade turned up slightly to create a lifting action. ??

You were right, the air filter was dirty. I also drained the diesel and changed the gas filter. Change the oil and oil filter they gave me 15w40 oil. The power is back and I can run it on low rpm and it does not stall out like before. THANKS
