I have a 2310 tlb. If I take the back hoe off it will drift down in a few hours to were the out riggers are laying flat. Is this normal? I cant find any leaks. If I leave it on the tractor the boom drifts down within hours also. Is this normal?

I have never left my hoe standing on its own long enough to find out. But, I think it would do the same thing. The manual calls for the hoe to be lowered to the ground before disconnecting it. If you lower the attaching point to the ground, while raising the outriggers to where there is no weight on them you will be good to go.
Do you use the boom lock? Driving around can put stress on the hoe and make the boom come down if it is not locked. My boom will come down, if left on its own in the garage, however it takes a while.

Mine does the same thing. I always wedge something under it to keep it from going all the way to the ground. The first time I didn't and it was hard to get the hydraulic lines hooked up.

If you get to where the lines won't connect, you can loosen one of the couplers from the hose, and the pressure will bleed off. Retighten the fitting and it will connect easily.

Thanks guys
I think I will build a stand for it, since this is normal. When it does drift down it hard to hook up the lines because the hoses are to short.

Many people have made 12" hose extensions for the backhoe, and say it makes removal and hook-up much easier.

Mine drifts down, but it seems to take a couple of days to do so. I haven't had much trouble reconnecting the BH, but I did have a heck of a time reconnecting the FEL one time, learned my lesson. Too much pressure in the lines and couldn't hook the quick connects back up. Just before disconnecting the lines with engine shut down, I move the joystick in all directions to relieve any pressure that may be in the lines, haven't had a problem since and now I do it with the BH also.

I also learned that lesson. The hard way of course.

Mine will leak down when disconnected too. However my hoses still reach it even if it's on the ground. So, I just hook them up and lift it back up to get it mounted. It's never been an issue for me.

On a side note though, I really need to put a warning sign near the hoses to remind me of hot they get before I disconnect them.
