2310, rear axle seal leak

I have a mahindra 2310 that leaks hydraulic fluid out of the right rear axle seal. I am an ex Coast Guard mechanic, so I have some ability. Question is, is this something I can do. I don't want to get in the middle of it and find out I need a tractor mechanic. The nearest one is 80 miles away.

If you are mechanically inclined, you should be able to do the job. Be sure you figure out how the differential lock mechanism slips together and get it right. You will probably need a extra set a hands when putting the side gear housing back on and this will be when you will need to get the diff/lock assy. slipped together. Good luck with it.

Order the seal assembly ahead of time, it's an odd type of multi-part seal so you won't get it at a regular bearing and seal supply place.
