2320 and 54D MMM

Hello all TBN members, I just installed my 54D for the first time and it took less than 10 minutes. I am really happy with the 2320. I bought it new last fall and have a little over 20 hours on it. I bought it with the FEL, 54D MMM and 655 tiller. The loader worked great all winter moving the smaller amount of snow we had in Southern Saskatchewan. The tiller worked great last fall and this spring for tilling around the tree line and getting the new yard ready for grass seed. The mower worked excellent last fall as well, then I took it off for winter and put it back on today, very easy and quick. Good thing my wife watching as I drove into the garage because the ROPS would have hit the garage door if she wasn't watching, I know I wasn't at first. Also a good thing I ordered the front and rear work light kits for this unit, I never tried to put it in the garage since we had the concrete floor installed in the new garage. I connected the hydraulics, lined up the mower and drove on, locked int eh rear lift arms, connected the front mount and connected the drive shaft. It's just that easy. The only trouble I had was the arms for the back of the mower would not go down to the lowest position for installing the mower with my wife putting some pressure on them. The dial on the floor boards was set to install. I have to read the book a little more to see what I missed. I still think it went really well for the first time since I read the manual last fall and haven't looked at it again. I had the independent lift kit installed at the dealer.

Hello Spud, fellow Canadian here. My 62D on my 2320 is just awesome as well, goes on and off real quick. In the process of building some dethatching blades for it and we'll see if that works. LOL on the ROPS, was mowing under some trees and had some dead twigs in my shorts. Have fun with your rig!

The new 72" OnRamp mower deck reportedly does not require any direct human intervention, it apparently will do all the work once in position with you on the tractor! Don't know for sure, but that really dous real good.

On my 2320 tractor, I found that the adjusting knob on the floor board used to adjust the deck height, lock and install was pointing in the wrong direction. Who ever assembled the tractor got the decal positioned wrong.

Try and see if the deck locks in the up position. If it won't, then your decal on the floor is probably wrong also. I just pealed my up, put a tad of Liquid Nails on the decal and pressed it back on with it pointing in the correct position.

With practice putting the deck on will even get faster. I have found the yard easier than concrete floor for removal and putting the deck back on. Deck seemed to scoot on concrete for me. Today I tiller about 1/2 acre of "lawn" and mowed 3 acres of what was farm feed lot. Lots of weeds and big rings of thistle where the round bales of hay were put out for the cattle.

Enjoy your new toy. Remember the service intervals, and make sure the transmission oil is changed and sump magnets cleaned. I was shocked to see all the metal shavings in the sump at my first transmission oil change.

On my 2320 with 62d deck, I also found it easier to install on the grass than on concrete. The hardest part I found was connecting the PTO shaft. I always have to reach under the deck and turn the blades to get the splines to line up, and reach under the tractor in an awkward way with the other hand trying to push it on.

Being able to pick it up with the iMatch hitch is awesome! Little things like that are what really sold me on the tractor. I do wish it would lift it up a bit higher to make it easier to clean it.

What I do with mine is when it's on the imatch, I flip it up and ratchet strap it to the ROPS, works slick as snot and you can stand there and pressure wash it off, change blades whatever.

I only have a little over 20 hours so I haven't had many service intervals so far. I maintain all of my things very well and I look forward to getting into the first service on this one.

The drive shaft went pretty good for my 54D but the deck isn't as wide as the 62. I would imagine that little difference in width would effect the reach to the drive shaft.

The label on my height control is correct. I tried it last night after installing my work lights and in the lock position the deck will not lower.

Just a quick tip you may find useful: If you put the PTO selector in the rear PTO position, the Mid PTO stub shaft will turn easily by hand so you won't need to reach under the deck and turn the blades. Same goes for the rear PTO-if you put the selector in the front PTO position then the rear stub will turn easily.
