am I reading the jd website correct? I can not use the JD front and rear aux lights together.... just one or the other? maybe I am missing something....

They probably use the same mounting, and the alternator is not very strong on these units, so they don't want a lot of extra lights installed.

If you read what they say on Deere.com, you would be lead to believe that the front and rear setups are not compatible. If you go through the build your own section, and click on the picture, it clearly shows both the front and rear lights installed on the tractor. I purchased both in the fall and installed them on my 2305. I'm not very mechanically inclined, and I was surprised at how easy the install was. The additional lights are a must for mowing at dusk, or pushing snow in the dark (like I did last night in 15 degree Cleveland Weather - should have stayed outside all night instead of watching the Browns). The JD ones look very good too, like they were designed for the tractor (which I'm sure was the intent!). You'll need to buy the brush guards for the hazard lights that are attached to the ROPS, as the work lights attach to the brush guards. If you have the slow moving vehicle (Orange Triangle) sign on your tractor, you'll need a drill bit to drill through the attaching plate to run the wires down through the ROPS as well.

thanks for the info!

do you push snow with just the bucket? How are the hydrualics for that? speed wise?

thanks

Yes, I just used the bucket. I had it in 4wd and low gear, but then threw it in high and had no issues. There was only about 6" of snow to be pushed, we'll see how just the bucket works when we really get pounded.

I'm hesitant to sell the plow off of my ATV if the bucket takes forever, that ATV setup makes plowing a relatively quick task..

thanks again for all the info.

Do you have 2 or only 1 rear lights? Do they just plug into a harness? If you have both the fronts and rears installed together, do they need to be one together or not? Do the light kits come with switches? Where do the switches mount?

thanks again!!!

I have the 2 forward facing lights, and one rear facing light. They all work off of the headlight switch, so it's all or nothing. Not being much of a mechanic and being limited on time, I chose to keep it simple and just follow the directions. I believe that BloomingtonMike has done some custom wiring jobs, I suggest contacting him for advice if you wish to do anything outside of the standard install.

The standard was pretty simple, just plug and go basically. One of the trickiest elements was getting the plugs and wires fished down through the small hole at the bottom of the ROPS. Make sure you've got some twist ties to put things back up out of the way when your done.

Hi. I have a 4320 and I struggled with the lighting issues as well. The dealer said it was front or rear lights, but not both. The website said I could put on all four lights (2 front 2 rear) in one place, but said fronts wern't compatible with the rear in another. Finally the directions for the lights said that I could have 2 fronts and one rear. What I finally ended up doing was buying 2 MIA10204 light switches from Deere. I then put a switch on the fronts and a switch on 2 rear lights. As a result when I have my headlights on, I switch on the fronts when I need them, and then turn them off and switch on the rears when backing up or attaching implements. At any rate I have only two auxiliary lights on at any given time. The switches mount on my console thats located on the right fender. Not sure if your model has switch blanks though. Hope this helps.

Did you need longer bolts to bolt it all back together? Once I installed the brush guards and put back the slow moving sign, my bolts were not long enough.
