Hi All,
I have blown 2 Fuel Solenoids (the second one literally exploded). The first time this happened, I was using the cruise control on my 2320 (which is a lever you pull up....not an electronic switch like in 3320, etc). I was driving along for about 15 minutes and then big puff of black smoke from under the hood. I investigated and noticed the wires on the Fuel Solenoid were fried. I replaced Fuel Solenoid (and the 40 Amp fuse near the alternator as that blew as well) and was back in service. Couple of weeks after this, I was using the tractor and needed cruiser control. Was driving around in cruise control for about 10 minutes and the same exact thing happened to the Fuel Soleniod....this time it literally blew up....and I blew the 40 Amp fuse again
I must have an electrical problem SOMEWHERE that only gets triggered when I use the cruise control.....but looking at JDParts, it looks like it is all mechanical.
Anyone have any ideas?? I have looked and looked at the machine and don't see anything shorting out.
BTW: I am out of warranty. Tractor is 3.5 years old
Thanks,
Bill
