2320 Bucket width?

I think I am going to go w/ 2320 rather than 2520 but am wondering about bucket width for fel. (not 100% certain yet..the 2520 is $2250 more for same set up fel, mmm, blade..but I will use it 90% of time to mow)


Will it handle the 61" . (I will use mostly for snow, manure and some digging (in that order))

The reason I ask is when I got price quotes from 3 dealers, they all suggested the 53"

I have the 53" and am happy with it. Not sure I could fill it up with dirt or gravel and be able to lift it if it were bigger. It's wider than the tractor so you can still scrape out tight places and/or dig a trail wide enough for the tractor to follow in. One dealer I shopped at only recommended the 48" bucket. I said no to that and got a 48" 2048 box blade and the 53" bucket with tooth bar. You can always buy another bucket if you need one later.

I have the 53 inch bucket because I do a lot of digging through clay and lava. I needed the higher digging force. The FEL can lift a heaping bucket of wet clay to the upper loader limit. Don't know how much it weighs though it does make the back end light when I have a 5 foot scraper blade on. With snow or manure or even regular dirt I don't think you would have a problem capacity wise. The 53 inch might be a little more maneuverable though.

One dealer in the area puts the 61" bucket on all the 2320, and 2520's that he stocks. I used one in a gravel pile, and it worked OK though it was a little hard to tell because of lack of rear ballast on the tractor. I would buy the 53", but know that I wish for a 61" for snow, and mulch.
