Need some help please. The 3pt on my 2320 leaks down over night without anything attached. This tractor is only a couple years old (200 hrs) and has never done this before. If I have something attached to it, it will leak down a lot faster. If I close the control knob under the seat the 3pt will stay up. Is this a problem with the control valve? Is there something else I can check? Where is the control valve located? Any ideas what I should do?

Thanks,
Gonegreen

Sounds like normal behavior to me.

Normal behavior after four years - probably, but what would be causing it?

Something heavy, yes, but not just the arms or the I-Match. Mine will sit for a week with the I-Match only and the MMM raised up and only drop and inch or two.
I don't have an answer for you as to why it would be leaking down that fast.

My 2320 is a bit over 4 year old and has close to 300 hours and the three point does not leak down. I am pretty sure the control valve controls the hydraulic fluid bypass which adjusts the rate of drop on the three point. Could be just a little bit of wear on the seals. Does it feel like your three point stlll has the same amount of lift?

I am not sure about lifting anything heavy since I haven't had anything on it all summer. It seems to lift my mid mount mower normally. But it will leak down while I'm scraping the deck off.

Thanks for the feed back.

If no one seems to know what might be wrong with the 3pt leaking down, would anyone have a buddy that is a tractor mechanic that they could ask? Or possibly a diagram of the hydraulics on a 2320 that they could post?

Your 3pt cyl seals are not as good as new, and therefore may leak fluid from the cyl.

Could also be the spool in the 3pt valve is worn or leaking.

The knob for the descent rate and lock mode, is supposed to shut off any fluid. If it leaks with the lock on, then the seals are worn.
