Hi-Have a 2320 and want to add a fumoto valve to it and wonder if anyone else has done this and can give me the appropriate part #. Thanks. Bill

I cant give you the part number but it is has 16mm x 1.5 threads.. I asked on here and was told the size, and it was verified with the dealer as well..

Im riding the fence on the fumoto vs a femco.. im posted a question recently asking about any experience with the valve opening accidently or if the hose clip (if used) has ever come off..

Good luck

Brian

BTW - the QwikValve.com seems to be about the only place to get the valves. They have their own website, but also are selling on Amazon and ebay. The pricing seems to be the same every place i look

Brian-Thanks for your reply, and your expressed concerns. I'm trying to evaluate the same issue and am not sure I will proceed as yet. I will on my car and truck based on experiences of others with my vehicle type but I'm still a bit apprehensive about the tractor. Thanks again. Bill

I've got fumoto's on both my cars and wouldn't be without them. As far as my tractor (JD 3520) I really don't see the need as it is easily accessible. I guess it may make the change somewhat easier. Not sure I would want the fumoto hanging down if I were doing work that the oil pan comes in contact with either the ground or brush. If you had a belly pan, then I could see where the fumoto would have its advantage over a regular oil plug.

Sincerely, Dirt

Wilnis - I was looking under my tractor today and am leaning toward less concern about the fumoto valve now.. The drive shaft is sorta protecting the plug and there are some other protection around it as well from the FEL (i believe)..

I think I am still going to go with the Femco valve (I already have one on my Dodge/cummins). I am a ways off from my next tractor oil change so I got a while to decide for sure..

My wifes car is definately getting a fumoto valve though.. :)

Brian-Got them for my two cars and my truck but decided to not do my tractor at this time. I occasionally rough cut some miserable old pastures with lots of saplings, and since I only change oil once a year, I decided to not do it at this time. I do appreciate your info about the size if I decide to proceed. What did you decide to do?? Regards-Bill

I dont blame you.. I ordered a Femco valve that doesnt stick out as much as the fumoto valve because of the clearance issue.. I wish the fumoto valve could have a screw on cap as well, that way if the lever gets twisted the cap would keep it from draining..
