Just to let you guys know, today as I was preparing to use my 2320, got the machine warmed up and proceeded to clean off the drive with the FEL when I ran into a problem. As I was curling the bucket to warm up the hydraulics, I felt something give. I started to smell hydraulic fluid and looked under the machine and saw a nice puddle of the stuff. I shut the machine down at first to make sure I did not run it dry. When I realized how much and then started the machine back up. Not to much came out. It was weird at first because there was not leak UNTIL I used the joy stick controller to curl the bucket and that is when it leaked. After a short time of chasing down the leak, I noticed the line that goes from the joy stick down in between the right rear tire and transmisson is where it leaked. The reason it was leaking is because someone back at the plant where it was assemble did not look at the final inspection to closely, because if they did they would have seen the line was actually rubbing up against the freaking tire!! I just don't know how something like that get past the final inspection, PLUS when I first got my machine, the deck was not level properly so again with my previous experience as an aircraft mechanic, I found out why it wasn 't level properly is because of the two brackets that help line up the draft arms would again rub against the rear turf tires. Come on John Deere!!! Get someone head out of their @#!&*. I paid 18.5K for this machine and I dearly love it but these mistakes could have been caught during the manufacturing process. I hear that JD made a buch of money as for the quarter goes, it would be nice to take some of that profit and come up with a better QC inspection and better manuals. It just seems these days everyone wants to make a BUCK OR TWO but is in a rush. Should have been better at catching those items. Glade that inspector doesn't work on aircraft. He or she would not last very long in that buisness. Sorry folks, just had to vent a little. Besides that JD has a good quailty product. Glade my dealer is take care of stuff like that. They could not believe it either. Ya'll have a Great MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
