I ordered a grill guard from my dealer - I was expecting the polished aluminum look with the BX cutout - what I got was a poorly constructed orange bar guard? He told me that is what Kubota offers...but I know I have seen the other one that I have described...any insight?

C-and-A, Your speaking of the guard for the BX24. It has 2 flat pcs. of angle and the BX logo in the middle. Or you can buy one of mine on ebay.

Ok, saw your grill guard, looks nice! Can you remove the engine shroud with the guard mounted? Looks to me like you'd have to remove the guard to pull the shroud off....

Thanks for the compliment. To tell you the truth Charliebrn, I don't take my shroud off too much. I change my oil without removing the shroud. It would take about as much time to remove the guard as it would to remove the shroud. I can remove my guard in about 2 minutes.

Thanx for the info folks, much appreciated.

Bill - I looked at Ebay - would you have a pic of the 2350 from the front?

I am concerned about where it falls with re: to the headlights...?

Would you know what the material is on BX version, it is simply painted as well?

BTW - yours looks real nice!

Wow, $231 + frt????? You guys are making me realize my welding skills are more valuable!

Attached is the grill guard I made for my BX2200. Last week, I added the receiver hitch and chain hook. I have significantly less invested in mine, I think (grin)..........

I keep thinking I should add something more to protect the grill, but so far, haven't found the need for it. I was most concerned with rolling into a trailer when using the FEL, and this guard will stop that............

Curt, I don't have a straight on photo, but I can tell you that I have sold quite a few for the 1850 & 2350 tractors with no complaints. The material used on the factory guards is steel and they are painted with aluminum paint.
Kubota really cheapened their new guard. They use angle iron for the bar above the BX logo instead of the round tubing that they used on their earlier guards. Plus, they only use one bar above the logo, they used to use one above and below the BX logo. They also flared out the side rails at the top 3 inches or so. I don't know if it was just for a different look or if it was for the lights.
Curt, I sent you a private message.

Ron, Great idea with the receiver and the hook. Sure does make a difference when you can fabricate your own items. Welding your own projects sure saves $$$$.
