Correct - no pressure whatsoever to the 3 pt. I have checked the oil level about 10 times! It took the whole pail (5 gal) of fluid when I refilled it.

Sucking air? Check the hose connection on the suction line going to the pump. Got to be something from the strainer to the pump based on your findings on the pump. Even if the pump was worn it would still pump.

The only one that would come to mind that would be easy to damage and not loader related. And esp. working on it in the area on a 2000/240. Or possible Bad O-Rings here. Yanmar Tractor Parts: Hydraulic

You can pick the three point arms up a d lift them up and down on a properly working tractor.

If you want to see it I can make you a video of that.the rock shaft and piston are not connected but just push on each other under pressure and gravity makes it fall when fluid is allowed out.

And now, he rest of the story.... I turned the tractor around so that it was pointed slightly downhill figuring that the pump could use all the help it could get it getting fluid to it. Hydraulics still didnt work. Cracked the bolt on the fitting on the suction line at the bottom of the transmission case to make sure I had fluid coming out there. Check. Then I took the high pressure line off of the pump and ran the tractor for a brief moment to confirm I had fluid making it through the pump and out the high pressure side. Check. Hooked the high pressure line back up to the pump and as soon as the tractor started, the hydraulics started working fine. YEA! So I didnt ever really figure out what was wrong. My guess is that I had an air bubble or contamination in the line or at the pump that was causing me problems. Thanks to all for your thoughts and advice. Big thanks to Hoye for gaskets and other parts and advice as well.

Must have a hydraulic gremlin or something like that. Havent used the tractor for about 2 months and went to use it over the weekend (just like the song it never rains in CA, especially in summer so nothing grows!). Fired up fine but the hydraulics were dead again - no movement in FEL or in 3 pt. While running, I cracked the bolts on the high pressure line coming out of the pump and got a few dribbles and that was it. Pulled one of the FEL levers while the line was still cracked and got hydraulic fluid squirting out everythwere! Tightened the bolts back up and the hydraulics work fine. I do have a small leak at the FEL controls. Is that something that could cause this problem?

I suppose it could be possible the leak high up could allow fluid to slowly leak back in the transmission over an extended period of time and air locking your system. Do I know that happened? No. Just rambling. i
