Not to happy with the float function when plowing snow. Jumps out of float when I try to angle while plowing. Also not the easiest to get it to latch in. So I am wondering if it is possible to change cylinder to a single acting model that raises only. If possible any suggestions on how to go about it would be appreciated.

Sorry title not clear- tractor model GC2410 / Blade model 2340

I have used a bungee cord from the base of the lever (just above the boot) pulled forward, hooked to the loader mounts. Adjust it so there is just enough tension to keep the lever in float.

I like it. I guess I was overthinking this. Just keep it simple.
Thanks

I tried adjusting the linkage on mine (thinking it wasn't allowing the spool to fully shift into the float detent) and that didn't do any good.

I think the issue is that the detent spring is not strong enough to hold the joystick (look at the length of it....pretty long).

Me, too... when blowing snow, I keep one hand on the joystick all the time to keep it in float; otherwise, it pops out pretty quickly. At times a bit awkward (when adjusting chute angle), but easy enough to do. Seems to be pretty common with these GCs.
