Hello everyone. First post on here. Recently upgraded from a 2007 LT1000 with the 16.5hp Briggs to a 2012 YS4000 with the 24hp v twin. The tractor has 40 hours on it, I bought it from a widow who hasn't used it much in the last year. I just started to have a misfire you can hear out the exhaust when it is running with no load on it it seems. I put new plugs in it, and it didn't make a different. If I un plug one cylinder and run it it runs smooth with no missing/popping out the exhaust. If I disconnect the opposite cylinder, same it runs fine. If I connect both it goes back to popping out the exhaust. Does this sound like it needs a valve adjustment? Maybe a carb problem?

Thanks!

Hey Wild,
I was curious if you ever figured out what was wrong and if you discovered a solution. How are things standing ?

That sounds like a valve adjustment to me. It's pretty simple, and if you take the plugs out, you can turn the engine by hand on the top.
