Oil & Fuel 2500 Gas Gage Fuel Cap

I was at the JD dealer earlier this week to buy some Hydraulic fluid and asked about a fuel gage cap for my 2500. Bryan looked it up as an 850 JD and it was available as parts. I ordered the outside top ring and lens for $16. I cleaned the internal parts and applied the new cap and lens to it and I can now tell how much fuel is in the tank without opening the tank. Sounds like your JD dealer is a friend of yours, normally they will just show you the door.

Since I know you spend some of your time in my area, you may want to know that the JD dealer in Rome, GA was very accomodating when I needed a key for my YM186D.

The JD Dealer is a friend that I grew up with. I am also a local Deputy and I'm over the Christmas Charity Fund for Kids of which he is an avid supporter.

I don't understand the XX of Yanmars with some JD dealers. They can sell parts and if you are in their store it is possible to sell you a larger tractor. I'd say that a lot of people that cut their teeth on a Yanmar then move up to other national brands of larger and more optioned tractors. That's how I got mine is a friend bought it kept it for a year and then wound up buying a 75 hp Massey Fergeson and selling me the YM2500.

My dealer will work on them and trade on one as well. He's in it for the $ not Green Paint loyalty. The shop had a YM2000 with the head off when I was in the other day.
