John Deere 2520
My preferred dealer received his first 2520 today. I cut out of work early to take a look at it. I'm ready to buy, but the pricing seems unusually high--or should I say the discount seems low.

2520 w/R4's, 200CX ldr (no ballast box), 72" MMM, dual SCV = $19,499

This same dealer has quoted a 4115 at 15% below list (two months ago), a 3320 at 12% below list (one month ago), and now this model at less than 9% below list. Could be that it is the newest model...or he is tired of me trying to pick the right model for my needs.

Any other early-birds out there with 2520 pricing?

I have a quote of 14570 on a 2520 with filled R4s, work lights, heater for transmission and engine coolant, the 200cx quote is 2350 - didn't price a MMM - Suspect that they are a brand new model and will work off of this type of pricing early

I'm paying $16,400 for a 2520 w/ 200CX and R4s. One dealer wanted $17000+ and several others were $16,500 or higher. Not much of a discount, but overall, the tractor seems to be less than a similar sized 4000 series.

Ron,
What is worked into the price on your 2520 - ie block heater, filled tires etc - looks like a good price. Can't wait to see photos of your new tractor. Cheers

Tractor, 200CX loader, R4s (not filled ) eng oil+filter for first change, rod type bucket level indicator, and parts manual. That's about it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

when i was shopping about 6 weeks ago, i priced a 4115 w/ 200cx and 60" mmm at 19500.00. they only had 1 and that was the price. i started looking around and found that for a little less, i could get a quality tractor with 30hp 4 cyl, 3 speed hst, fel, 72" mmm and ballast box with longer warranty and 0 apr. had never considered another brand til that moment. i would have bought the jd in a minute if it would have been just a little cheaper. guess when they are in short supply, the dealer wants to get well on the only one he's likely to get for a while. there was just too much difference in the two for me to go with the jd. iv'e bought 3 new ones from deere and will probably go back and try next time i want one, just not this time. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The JD2520 is priced pretty close to the Kubota B2630, which I almost bought. The Kubota has the nice 3 pt links and telescopic stabilizers, but I'm sold on the twin pedal HST controls and loader joystick location on the JD. It just seems to fit me better. I'll figure out a way to put extendable stabilizers on it, and I'll probably get Pat's Quick Attach, so I'll be fine with the 3pt hitch.
If you don't get want ya really want, you've wasted your money. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am pricing a 2520 right now, just waiting for the dealer to call me back. Do any of you guys know what the lift capacity is on the 200CX loader? I forgot to ask him about that.

deere_x475guy,

You're not thinking of trading in the 2210 are you? If so we'll lose the experience of the guy with the most attachments! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Anyway, here is the 200CX specs from the Deere intranet:

SPECS on 200CX on 4110, Measured @ Pivot Pin (4110):, Lift Capacity 800 Lbs. (363 kg), Lift Height 78.7 In. (2000 mm), Boom Breakout 2137 Lbf. (9510 N), Dump Angle - 38 Degrees, Rollback Angle - 25 Degrees, 53 In. (1350 mm) Material Bucket

I know it's measured on a 4110, but it should give you an idea. Thanks to jd2210 for the info.

LOL..not sure about the most implements part...you look like you have a pretty good list going. Not sure what I am going to do at the moment. Just in the thinking stage right now. They have a great price on a 4110 at the moment. I just might keep what I have. The 2520 is really more money than I want to spend and the 4110 has less hp than the 2210. I would just be gaining some ground clearance, cruise control, and a few hundred pounds more weight and the ability to set the 3pt to a repeatable setting. Then again I am not sure how easy the deck comes off the 4110. Hmm....and, the 2210 has been a real work horse for me.....

Thanks for the info.
