Guys,
I have a pretty new 2638 that i plan to test the loaders relief pressure. I think its a tad low. My question is, does anyone know where the relief adjuster/shim stack is? I've checked the service manual and couldn't come up with anything. I figured it would be worth a shot reaching out in there.

Thanks in advance.

I seem to remember a post from way back saying something about an adjustment screw/bolt around the hydraulic pump, on the right side of the engine, just behind the radiator. But not 100% sure. I've never seen any adjustment capability on or around the tranny housing.

If/when you find it, please post something here for all of us to find.

Thanx. and Good Luck

Just looked in my service manual, and (maybe) found what you're looking for.

Check out page 9-22, figure 9-26. It looks like it might be the adjustment for the flow control valve.

If you're trying to adjust the FEL flow control, I would suspect that would be near or on the joystick assembly for the FEL.

Scanned through that whole section. Not seeing anything specific to the loader circuit. All about the 3 point and main pressure circuit. The search continues

Had another thought or 2. From previous posts by others, I got the impression that everything is essentially on one circuit. 3 pt, FEL, etc. But I would also think there should be some kind of adjustment to the FEL on the handle set.

I'm not a hydraulic mechanic, but might be worth a look under the handle shroud.

I'd also call a hydraulics shop and ask them, if not your dealer.

The dealer hasn't been much help at all. I have checked over the valve and haven't seen anything without pulling things apart. The loader should have its own relief port as most due. I ask curious if the 3 point shares the same circuit but the manual seems to read that the 3 point relief adjust the whole pressure circuit (drive and all) witch runs a higher pressure then the loader.

This looks like it, probably is similar for the cabbed tractor as well. 20200131_082732.jpeg
