2538 Oil convential or syththetic and what weight?

The owners manual states
API CJ-4 grade
above 77 SAE 30 or 10W30
32-77 SAE 20 or 10W30
below 32 10W or 10W30
Mahindra heavy duty SAE 15W40

It also states it was shipped with 15W40

I figure nobody is switching oil by temperature my question is are you using 10W30 or 15W40. Do most of you switch over to synthetic at 50 hour service or just stick with conventional. I understand for warranty purposes you just have to use a oil of correct weight with API CJ-4 grade. Just wondering what other people are doing.

Synthetic at 50 hrs change for me. Rotella T6 in everything I have.

I just switched to rotella t-6 5w-40

Would the Rotella T6 would also be good as far as the warranty goes since it is 5W40 and not 10w30 or 15w40. I know it meets API CJ-4 specs. Or maybe you would have to use the T5 which comes in 10w30 or 15w40

Full synthetic for me. I put Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel in mine. I've got the weight range bracketed for both high and low temps and a quality grade of synthetic too.
