2538 seat

Mine is torn. Upholstery places don't want to be bothered. I prefer an aftermarket seat if it will bolt right in without problems and without spending $$$$$.

There are several options for you.
Replacing the seat with a new one from Mahindra = $$$$$
Finding an after market bolt on seat without modification (I tried internet, TSC, Amazon, but no luck)
Upgrade to a suspension seat (yeah!!). Requires a little modification, but not difficult. (I used two 2x6 PT pieces of lumber to accomodate the new bolt pattern, and also increase the height of the seat)
Repair the seat yourself. There are some YT videos on how to repair a vinyl seat.

From what I understand the 2638 has a suspension seat that the 2538 did not. I have the 2638 and find the seat quite nice.
From my experience on alot of tractors the TSC type suspension seats suck plain and simple they aren't that comfortable nor durable. Spend the money on a good one.
