Hi all
Recently purchased a new switch from Hoye for my 255fx. Unfortunately the exact match was no longer available. So purchased the one they recommended on their site. Cut off the old switch and added ring terminals as per their web instructions.
Problem 1 - the new switch is lacking the terminals for all the existing wires.
Problem 2 - Instructions are lacking info on what to do with extra wires
Problem 3 - after getting tractor wired and started, it won't shut off using the key.

Old switch had following terminals:
B white with red stripe wire
C1 black with white stripe wire
C2 black with red stripe
BR1 black wire
BR2 white with black stripe wire
E black with yellow stripe wire

Here is how I currently have them hooked up
B to B
C1 to C
BR1 to R1
BR2 to R2
Wires E and C2 are not hooked up.
I have nothing hooked up to the BR terminal on the new switch

The tractor turns over and starts. The electronics seem to work. Fuel and temp work. Does know what is wrong or how to wire it correctly?
Thanks Brad

Unfortunately, the FX255 uses a different switch than the 2 digit F series (which is why we do not list a switch in the FX255 category on our website). I have not found a wiring diagram for that model so I cant tell for sure how it should be hooked up. I do know that the shutoff actuator needs power when the key is in the off position (to move the shutoff lever) but I don't know which wire that would be.
