2555 blowing engine stop fuse

I have a 2015 2555 with 62 hours that keeps blowing the 10 amp engine stop fuse. It will blow it when you turn the key to activate the glow plugs and when you turn the key to engage the starter. Any ideas of whats going on?

Short in the GP circuit.Disconnect GP strip or heat coil and try it.:thumbsup:

Check your wires to the plug and be sure a mouse hasn't made a home recently.

My 2555 just blew this same fuse and died. Did you find a solution?

Yes, I had a bare wire on the wiring harness under the hood.

Do you know the general location? Any other information would be MUCH appreciated and hopefully save me trip to dealer.

Blown fuses is almost always the result of a frayed wire somewhere. That's why they put the fuses there in the first place. Wires are sized to the load and while fuses are sized to the wire. The real purpose of a fuse is to keep what ever it's protecting from catching fire. Whether it's your tractor, car, home, airplane or whatever a fuse does the same job.

Finally found my problem. Insulation rubbed off wire closer down behind fuel pump against black painted hard fuel line right at gray plugjack. I have pictures but can't figure out how to post here.

This is such a great site and with a great bunch of helpful contributors. I am going to find these two locations on my 2555 this weekend and wrap some old inner tube or something else around it as preventative. Thanks a bunch for sharing.

i took a look and couldn't find where they are rubbing. could you provide a pic or two?

Don't you just love the way Mahindra runs wires and hoses! I had a situation a couple years ago that drove me nuts! I'd open the hood to clean radiator screen and when I'd close it, a large blue spark would jump from the hood to the side cover! To make a very long story short, after striping the wire harness starting at the front, I found inside the plastic wire loom a red wire that had a spot with no insulation on it from the factory and was leaking voltage to the metal support thru the loom.

Everyone is simply pointing out Mahindra's lack of attention to detail. I think the basic tractors is good but all that other garbage they hung on it has a problem.
