BCS 732
I have a BCS 732 and posted on here a while back when I first got it. Now that I have been putting the brush mower into work it keeps breaking on me. The bolt and washer holding the 3-dog coupler to the axel keeps backing out. I replaced the bolt and washer and when i used it for 10 minutes the screw did not back out this time, but ripped out. You can see side of the screw missing and lots of metal flakes when I removed the attachment from the tractor. Nothing looks to be broken besides that, but there must be something wrong with it. Does anyone have some experience with this?

If I replace the washer and bolt it works temporarily, until the bolt comes out and the attachment stops getting power.

Thank you. I am thinking about taking it in to a service shop. Does anyone know where to get a list of repair centers?

Hey Grant,

This is a strange problem...

Do you mean the bolt and washer that goes into the driveshaft and holds the 3 dog PTO on? Did the threads in the shaft strip or the threads on the bolt? The bolt is metric. I'd buy a grade 10.9 metric bolt and some hard set threadlocker. When bolts back out I start thinking vibration. Does the unit run smoothly when not cutting? Is the U-joint in the driveshaft nice and tight? Are the blades balanced? When replacing blades, you should always replace both, not just one.

When you say axle do you actually mean the power take off connection for the brush mower????????????????????????

Thank you. Well when the brush mower is engaged at first it kinda jumps a little and twists then settles in right after. Operation is good, although I bought this unit used so not sure what a new one would feel like. It takes a m6x20 and have a couple on the way from BCSSHOP.

Ill take a look at the u-joint on the driveshaft and the blades tomorrow.
Thank you!
