In the fall my tractor had a battery drain. After discovering this I charged the battery and disconnected the cable. I was to fix the short later. The idiot lights worked when I first had the problem but a short time later they did not work. After Thanksgiving I moved the tractor into the garage and changed the ignition. The idiot lights ( 3 of them) still did not work.

I changed the oil some time later, started the tractor and ran it for 1/4 hour, no lights. This weekend I started the tractor and after a short time running the oil light went on. I checked the oil and it was way full. I drained out about a quart or more. Started the engine again and the light was on. The other 2 idiot lights do not light when I turn the key.

I have been reading other oil light problems. I checked the bulbs in the other lights & they are ok. Any thoughts on the lights, battery drain etc?

Ign switch?

Seems like somethings not connecting properly.........

Also, check all the ground connections, something might be corrroded giving an intemittant or poor ground.........

That's one reason I despise idiot lights.. I like mechanical gauges way better. Many people add a 'T' fititng and plumb a real gauge in for when the electrics like to take a break. At least that way you can verify oil pressure.. etc.
