I am wondering if you may have the marker and flasher wires crossed? Another thing you might could try is disconnect the marker wires just use the flashers.

I understand the cold thing only I probably work less than the tape in cold weather.

I can check that with a test light and see how the test light acts

Update I found someone in a different Branson group and he went out and tried his for me and he does continue to flash when the headlamps are on. So looks like I have something going on. I will start looking at and testing things this weekend.

After some testing and looking into thing looks like the lights only have a high and low brightness set up. Yes, they flash when the hazard switch is activated because the hazard relay is sending flash power to the lights so by the looks when the headlights are on the headlamp power overrides the flash.
