3-Point Hitch 2615 Issues

I'm having a couple of issues with my 2006 2615. The first is last summer my tach needle started "jumping". I figured it was probably a bad cable. So I disconnected it from the block and hooked it to a drill and the needle is steady as a rock. At this point I assume its something inside the block but what could it be?

The second problem I am having started this week. I used the tractor on Monday and everything was fine but when I went to use it Tuesday the 3 point will not lift. I have checked the fluid level and it is fine. Also I have a FEL and it operates normally. The lift arms have no tension on them with the lever up or down. I'm guessing there is a valve stuck open somewhere but I'm not sure where to begin looking.

Check the knob under the seat to see if you bumped it by accident. This will cause the hydro 3pt hitch not to work. It is free, and easy to check


I can't really help you on the tach. I just replaced the odo on one of my motorcycles because where the cable goes into the front wheel....the piece the cable went into was stripped. Where does that cable go into?

I forgot to mention in my first post that I have checked the knob below the seat and I get no lift no matter where the knob is positioned.

I checked the knob under the seat on my 2615 and it only adjusts the 3pt speed while its going down or how fast it drops. It had no effect on raising it whether the valve was closed or open.
I haven't had the tach problem and mine is an 04.
