It does crank just a tad faster, and that little bit is usually all it takes. maybe the battery is just a little off. Its new though. A 16 volt battery would probably be just right
. But then I am not positive I dont have a glow plug on the fritz. Seems like one cylinder wants to fire before the others.

Does your starter crank faster when you try jumping it with a charger or jumper cables?
You have the long timer. That's the one I installed on my 04 2615. The early models had a short timer.
Do you have a block heater or inline lower hose heater? If not it may be time to get one. The inline lower hose heaters can be installed in less than an hour. You'd be amazed how fast it starts when the coolant temp is 140 deg.
