As mentioned in another thread here on TBN, max towing capacity includes both the weight of the load (tractor, implements, etc) and the weight of the trailer.
As far as safety on the interstate, I feel safer towing on paved roads than on some of these washboard, pot-holed, rutted logging roads up here in the bush.
Those bolted D-rings look perfect. I also like the idea of pad eyes. Thanks for all the great ideas!
