Buying Advice 270 backhoe

Quick question for anyone that may know. Has the 270 backhoe been released by JD as yet or if anyone knows when they plan on releasing it??

I really do not want to go with the 46 because I don't want the work involved in removing the 62D MMM and hydraulic lift ,along with the 3PT hitch. The MMM is the main tool used on my 2720, so a quick change back hoe will be ideal.

That is the million dollar question! Wish I knew as I had hoped to have the 270 when I bought my 2520 last year, still waiting.

Must be a low priority for Deere to have it drag on this long.

There are several threads about that BH. After talking to my local dealer about it, basically the regional rep for the area doesn't even know and he couldn't find out even when he was at the plant where it will be made.

So my opinion, don't hold your breath on the 270.

Thanks for your thoughts on that, I guess I will have to wait it out as I surely do not intend to go with a 46. Just too much work for my physical condition at this time. Not that I am afraid to turn a wrench, but recovering from surgery will take some time. Maybe I should try posing the question to JD directly??

Well, I actually did. Their customer support actually denied there was even one.

I totally flipped because I financed it when I bought my tractor. That is when I contacted my sales manager. After 3 days he got hold of the regional rep for the area. That's when I found out that they don't know when it will start being produced.

For my intended purposes I decided that $7k just wasn't worth it.

On an earlier tread here, there was a bit of talk about the 270 and on the JD site it was pictured as the new replacement for the 46, so that person must not know what they are talking about. I'll keep digging and post here if I get any news.

Yea basically I found out that customer service only knows about current equipment and some past but because it hasn't been produced yet it is not in their system.
