Let's just say I'm tired of this machine. Purchased spring of 2021 my main use was to work on clearing my property and the occasional mowing of my front field. I'm the same guy who's had the cylinder rods bend twice. It's not my first tractor and likely will not be my last, probably because I need to just get away from this machine. Massey fixed that issue by installing cylinders with a larger rod. Those have held up fine, but this stupidly designed fuel transfer line under the body is driving me insane. The underbody protection is marginal at best, but the real issue I have had is if you in anyway rest the belly on any surface it pushes the line into the frame and pinches it and cracks the tank hose connection. I stopped putting the pan on because it simply seemed to increase the surface area pushing up on the line. I have pulled the tank off at least 5 times just to epoxy the gap back together. This last time I had to cut the tank apart and epoxy the whole barbed in back together.
I get that it's not a forestry machine or a skid steer, but i have dumped out more rule from the underbelly than I have run through it. My property is wet. Was. I have finally finally moved enough dirt with the box blade that the areas I was working on are good now, but last weekend while simply dragging dirt on flat ground a stick got wedged and tore the line in half.
I'm frustrated because the dealer knew my property. Knew my plans. He's the one that suggested to buy a stump bucket to help clear things and all it did was bend my cylinders. I'll end up fixing it again myself, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or thoughts. Yes I'm putting it in a few bad spots, but it's not a toy. No it's not a $100k machine, but for $30k you'd think I could use it for more than 5 hours at a time without something breaking. I'll likely be putting together a custom underbelly pan, but it should not be this easy to break, right? I mean why is the damn fuel line sitting under everything and only protected by a silly thin sheet of metal.
My property is finally pretty well leveled, but damn this is getting old.
