27HP CK27 or go for the larger framed 34HP DK35se?

When I decided to move up from my beloved CK20, I considered the CK30 and DK35se but ended up going all the way to the DK40se. Bang and lift power for the buck was my motivation and rationale.

The CK series is an excellent tractor but the newer DKse design has much better ergonomics and features like electric over hydraulic PTO and 4WD. The DK35se actually has 38hp so is a pretty big jump from the CK27 for not a whole lot of extra $$$ especially considering the other newer features.

I wouldn't worry about weight with regard to mowing at least in comparing the CK27 to the DK. As others have pointed out the larger tires on the DK diminish the effect of extra weight.

For my money the DK40se is still the best bang for the buck in the Kioti lineup. The DK35se has a smaller loader and smaller tires/axles but is otherwise almost identical. Well worth the upgrade to either.

Any more details on this? Aside from the different pedal layout, I hadn't heard anything about different HST trannies in the CK/CT2xx vs DK/CT3xx.

I do not have a parts book for the DKs or CT4xxs, so I do not know if the
internals of the HSTs in those machines are different from the HSTs in
the CK/CT2xxs (M27). The big difference is the former machines have an
electrically-actuated PTO so they do not need the foot clutch anymore.
This frees up the left side for the split brakes, which is better than
having the brakes on only the right side. (JD goes one better and puts
the brakes on BOTH sides.)

The DKs (M24 tractors) did not have HST back when I bought my CK30, or
I would have gone that route, even if it added a $K or 2.

I am not disappointed with my CK30; it has been great. Even my FEL has
been no problem and its lift capacity has been excellent. I just think the
new DKSEs are better.

LOL that is hilarious. This is going to be a tuff one to decide on as a dealer in white has the CT235 for $15.7 with quick attach and one rear remote.

So you can step up to a DK35 for a mere $800? Seems like a no brainer to me.

What tires were you wanting on the tractors?
Ags the DKSE will make a little more diff.
If R-4's then I doubt the weight will make that much difference to you.

Here is something else for you to loose sleep over...

I, like you had decide on a Kioti tractor. After finding out that the Bobcat is basically the same tractor as the Kioti, I started to look at the Bobcats.

To make a long story short.

The same bobcat version was cheaper than the Kioti.
