When I decided to move up from my beloved CK20, I considered the CK30 and DK35se but ended up going all the way to the DK40se. Bang and lift power for the buck was my motivation and rationale.
The CK series is an excellent tractor but the newer DKse design has much better ergonomics and features like electric over hydraulic PTO and 4WD. The DK35se actually has 38hp so is a pretty big jump from the CK27 for not a whole lot of extra $$$ especially considering the other newer features.
I wouldn't worry about weight with regard to mowing at least in comparing the CK27 to the DK. As others have pointed out the larger tires on the DK diminish the effect of extra weight.
For my money the DK40se is still the best bang for the buck in the Kioti lineup. The DK35se has a smaller loader and smaller tires/axles but is otherwise almost identical. Well worth the upgrade to either.
