High, medium, low speed lever stuck in low position, cannot move lever. Is it repairable by me or do I need to get a mechanic to repair?

How old is the tractor? How many hours? Have you check fluid for the HST?
Does it move when in low?
Does the steering work correctly?
Another question can you engage and disengage the PTO?

:welcome: to TBN.
If you have front loader put down pressure on it enough to lift front tire than of the ground.
Try going forward or backwards couple inches or so than try shifting.
From the shifting leveler to transmission check mechanical joints for debris build up...maybe lube spray.

Thanks for responding so quickly. Sorry I misinformed you about the model. It is a 2310 HST 4WD. 292.6 hours, new in 2004, oil level at rear sight glass above the low level mark. I bought it last year from a neighbor who bought it new and had it service regularly from a local dealer who is now out of business. I have not used the PTO yet but the power steering and hydraulics work fine it works fine in the low range but cannot upshift it into the higher ranges. When I first bought it I was able to change ranges. Also having a few issues with start-up and shut down. I use the manual fuel shutoff.

The model makes a different in troubleshooting your problem. Your tractor uses electro hydraulic clutch, knowing whether the PTO works would help. But I'd be looking at either a fuse or wiring problem in the clutch circuit. Also you might have a place to add fluid for the clutch. Had a Toyota and if fluid was low clutch won't work right. Plus the chance a bracket might have moved that mount the assembly.
Be sure and check to see if your low on fluid in the clutch, you probably have a spot to add like you would on cars.

According to tractor data.com your 2310 was built by TYM. The range shifter is difficult to operate on my TYM built 2538 also, may just be the way they are designed. Try using the suggestion from Thomas about shifting while moving a little bit.

Went out a while ago and tried recommendations, still nothing changed. Checked fuses and they checked OK. Possible relay? PTO light lights up but neither PTO operate. Still cannot get lo-med -hi shifter to move. Thanks to all of you for your concern and recommendations!

Are you keepinp it at idle when you try shifting? Also make sure it is in two wheel drive. Like mwayne i also have a 2538 and a 2810.

Problem with PTO is not linked to the transmission problem, I believe, since it uses a solenoid which is turned on by a button. Unless there's a voltage that both use. Does the solenoid energize, should be able to tell using a screwdriver next to it.
