These things happened to my 2810 it may help someone whose trying to buy one.
-oil leak after 25 hours
-pin broke 3 times on shuttle shift
-Hydraulic oil leak from sight glass
-runs hot after 30 minutes of bushhogging
-pto broke @ 200 hrs out of warranty one month
-pto broke again @ 505 hrs
-rear axle leak
-Hours for repairs were more than mahindra corp specified and cost me more money
-Dealers complaining about mahindra not paying them full amount for warranty work
Had enough traded 2810 on new tractor, you can bet it wasn' a Mahindra.

Sounds like you had more than your fair share of problems and that is unfortunate. Breaking the PTO twice probably indicates an improper shear bolt on your implement, or the need for a slip clutch. Running hot is generally a clogged radiator, clogged with debris. The 2810 was crowded up front and hard to keep the radiator clean.

Since this is somewhat of a parting shot from the poster, I'd like the readers to know that a couple of years ago Mahindra discontinued this TYM built model in favor of the Mitsubishi built 15 series. The TYM models were good machines, but I personally favor the Mitsubishi Japanese built models.

Good luck on your new purchase. Keep the radiator clean and put on a slip clutch.

Having a 2810HST, I'd be interested to know where the oil leak and axle leaks were and what was the cause. The PTO damage sounds odd and I'd be curious to know if it was the solonoid issue we've seen (easily fixed) or something much more serious. If actual breakage, I'd be inclined to believe Dave. The leak at the site glass is not unusual, I've read about it with other brands, as well. I fixed mine early on. I jacked it up to prevent fluid loss, popped the site glass out with a slender pick, cleaned it up well with a rag, then used a small amount of liquid gasket on the o-ring. I let it tack up for a few minutes, then popped it back in. I left it jacked up overnight to cure. No further leaks and its been a couple hundred hours. The overheat issue is not too unusual when the radiator gets clogged with seed and mowing debris. I've read of someone who leaves the screen out and feels it works better. I take the FEL off to mow so, sliding the screen out and cleaning it takes only a minute.
I hope you enjoy your new tractor.
