I recently found out that Mahindra had a modification whereby they added a relay mod into the wiring harness in order to eliminate a voltage backfeeding through the control module and burning it out. My machine is two and a half years old and this was my dealers first instance of this but I did, thankfully, get a single post to alert me to this here on the forum and, with that info, my dealer looked into it to find out that in fact Mahindra had a bulletin on this.
When this first happened the tractor would not start as if a safety function wasn't met. The dealer replaced the control module and everything seemed to be working not aware of the mod but the module soon failed again. This time, when I went to stop the engine, it kept running. The stop solonoid was staying engaged and burned up before I realized what was happening taking out the control module again. This has also taken out the glow plug timer and relay.
Obviously this is something that has already been addressed by Mahindra but are there any of you aware of this and, if so, do you know what is backfeeding?
