Since the weather has started to turn nice I finally got around to ordering and installing a new 32" antenna for the radio which has made a world of difference on the reception.

Well the weather being nice and I've got part of the garden in I decided to correct a small problem that I had with the snow and the box blade when backing or forward. If the snow was deep enough and on long runs it would come over the top. So today I mounted two L shaped brackets to the box and then installed a 2 x 10 board which should stop the snow or dirt from coming over the top.. Also, I've always had issue not being able to care other tools like shovel, rake, trimmer, etc when working so now with the help of some Unistrut metal framing that I've got laying around I'm going to make a rack out of it so I can either remove the board or not and then still have a way to care the other tools and then still use the FEL and not worry about thing bouncing out.

That's a great idea! I'm glad I don't get to deal much with snow :)

I'm thinking about making something to catch the small rocks as I drag my lot (I live in desert...so it's mostly sand) where the rocks that are bigger than maybe 1" get caught in a basket... this one's going to take some thinking!

I don't have any grass to cut, but every 2-3 months I have to drag the sand smooth (and it clips off the short weeds also before they grow). I just got a little CoreFlux wire welder for $160 from Nothern Tools and it was easy to figure out how to weld with it after 1/2 hours practice... so now I can design and weld it myself - as long as the steel is no bigger than 1/4" thick.

I got the backup alarm installed today and I think I'm finally done with the modifications.

How do you have your backup alarm wired? Does it come on automatically when you have it in reverse?

I use a switch on my panel that controls the alarm.
