2815 specs

Been shopping for sometime in the 25-35HP range. Recently found a 2815 that has been sitting on the lot for sometime that seems to be at a reasonable price. Saw a post from about a year ago comparing the mahindra 15 series to the 16 series. It sounds like the 2815 was discontinued and the old 2615 became the new 2816.

Are the specs on mahindra listed for the 2815 correct? There is one set in their brochure/PDF and another set under the "tab" on the webpage. Main discrepancy I am noting is the length, displacement/HP, 3pt lift capacity. Which is correct?

Also, can someone explain the difference in tier II and III/IV?

If your looking at the 2815 you can find everything but the engine hp being the same as a 3215.
If you looking at the new 2816 that will have the same spec as the 2615 once again the engine will have a different spec.
The difference in the teirs is emmision compliance.
There is more emmisions on the newer engines I don't know exactly what.

Thanks for the info. Just looks like mahindra got some "cut and paste" crossed between 2615 and 2815/2816 between spec sites.

Is the 3215 more or less the 2815 with turbo?

I'm not sure why but the specs on the Mahindra webite for the 2815 and the 2816 have been wrong for a while! The 2815 is the same as a 3215 without turbo and consequently 4hp less. There ya go.

Don't know if you are interested or not but I have a 2815HST that I bought new in October 2007 that looks brand new except for some scratches on the bucket and has only 165 hrs on it that I will sell for about $12000. We might could arrange some type of shipping or I may could make part of the trip. i am in middle TN but it might be worth it for the difference in money. Let me know if you are interested.
