Looking to see if anyone else has run into this.. 3 year old 2816 gear with about 215 total hours. Problem is that it feels like something is dragging ... and it gets worse the longer I run it, as well as the axle housing heating up.

Have been trouble shooting when I've had time this summer... haven't been getting a lot of time on it which has slowed down troubleshooting. Finally isolated the problem in the last few days to the left brake NOT fully releasing. I've found if I get under it and tap on the brake lever it releases... not like I can bushhog and do that ever time I hit the brake :(

Has anyone else ran into something similar? It's got wet disk brakes. I'm planning on checking pedal travel/play and it's adjustments but I'm thinking that it's more likely the spring or ball in the brake assembly. I'm suspicous that my lack of seat time leaving it parked with the brake set is possibly allowed either the spring to sprung or flattened the actuator ball. Service manual shows both buried well into the assembly (following the service manual instructions would include pulling the tire & the axle which seems overkill to inspect/replace either of the small components). Doesn't appear as easy to get at the actuator balls as on my 1951 Farmall Super C :(

Does my analysis of the issue seem to make sense (before I spend a lot of time tearing into it). Is there an easier/better way to handle getting further into it?
