Oil & Fuel 2910 with 3 cylinder diesel

The oil level in the crankcase on my early 80's diesel increases between oil changes. I'm told that this indicates a leaking shaft seal on the injector pump. I've purchased the new seal from my dealer and am ready to tackle the job. Am I headed in the right direction? All tips and info on R & R this pump would be appreciated.

Is this a New Holland/Ford or a Kubota model?

Ford had a 3 cyl 2910 from '84-86 then Ford/New Holland from '87-'89.

I have a Ford. Mine originally came with the blue stripped decals on the hood. I have since seen some with black decals.
