Change the fluid. Be sure to also reach in and get the accumulated scum out. The shifter boot always leaks rain water right in. You can use the sight plug/bolt as noted for the level if you want. Be sure that if has the correct dipstick. My 9N had them switched (they are different lengths and the engine was overfilled but the trans was low). Be aware that it holds GALLONS of oil, so be prepared when you remove the big plug. TSC has the right oil. Buy a manual, while you're there...
