looking for ideas from anyone who may have changed out a 2pt hitch to a 3pt. I am trying to get a old wd running for some of the equipment that i have availible to me.

You can have an adapter fabricated that will allow you to use 3pt implements with the 2pt hitch. My dad used to have an old Farmall with a 2pt hitch and had an adapter fabricated for use with 3pt equipment. It will cost you a bit for steel and machine work, but it is probably the best solution for your problem. I wish I had some pics, but he sold this tractor several years ago. The kicker is you have to find a 2pt implement you can scavenge the hitch rails from.

Dad had a factory 2 point to 2 point convereter that came from IHC. Its still here some where but one time he let a scrap man years ago come and pick up a load. He torched off the points. I think either Valubilt or steiner tractor catalogs. It was just a u shaped frame with a place to pin on a short top link and 2 lifing hooks like an easy change. We used this one alot with a 240 dad had. It worked good on our 3 point stuff.

i got a buddy with a 2pt hitch for his IH c.. wasn't hard to fab up a toplink support and a lil messin to make it 3pt. I imagine an allis will be near the same...

heck.. I fabbed up a 3pt for my C from scratch...

I did my Allis B just by attaching 3 pt lift arms off an 8n to the drawbar and raised them with the AC hydraulics then added a 3rd pt on the reinforced seat frame.
My 350 Int was simply fabricating the 3 pt arms to fit the 2 pt IH lift and fabricating the 3rd point attached to the top of the transmission housing.

A wd doesn't have a 2 point hitch, that is from Farmall and International. Allis had either a snap coupler or the early wd's had a pin hitch. Sandy Lake equipment has plenty of hitch conversions ans also many pics if you want to make your own. Hth's some later, nat

I reinforced the seat mounting bracket of my 1943 Case SC and made a top link mount up there.

This tractor had two short lift arms at knee level. I found pipes that would slide over the lift arms. I attached the pipes to the tractor arms with chains so they wouldn't pull off when pulling a grader blade etc.

Onto the end of the pipes I attached lift arm ends- but I offset them 3-4 inches. The pipes were loose enough over the lift arms so that there was enough play to swing them sideways and rotate them in order to slip over the mounting pins of implements.
