I have a Ford 3610 2wd with a large front end loader and the front tires really don't give enough floatation. Sometimes even without a load just the weight of the loader causes it to sink in wet ground. I'd like to try a wider front tire but there is very little clearance on the sidewall already(see pic). Could I turn the wheels around or should I look for a different wheel with more offset? The wheel is a 16" I believe but pretty narrow. Any suggestions on tires and or wheels that might work? Thanks in advance.
Btw I'm also planning on filling the rears and wheel weights if I can find some to help with traction, maybe even a rear ballast weight.

I would try Gensco the airplane tire takeoff people they sell tri ribs. I have several and know theyre worth the money.
But that tractor is suited to a heavy loader.

Yeah the ribbed tires steer a lot better in the muck to .

Adding a 1000 lbs. to the 3 point will take quite a bit of load off the front tires- certainly helped my 3000 when the bucket is full...

if your front rims are offset center.. dish them.. then put on mlti ribs or truck tires.

btdt. I have some truck radials from the auto salvage yard ( 10$ each ) on my ford 850 with heavy 2 post superior utility loader... I routinely move round bales int eh 1200# range with no flattened tires or railroad tracks in DRY pasture.

In wet land you are almost ALWAYS gonna track with a heavy load.. no matter what tires ya got.

on my other 850, which is currently a TLB with a woods 6500 hoe and ford 711 loader.. I have multi rib ( 5 ribs ) fronts. works good too.. not as good as the other 850 for flotation though.. howver the wide tires make for a lil harder steering.. .. but i got ps on the wide tire 850. in any case. ps or not.. if you need the flaot. get some 16 truck tires and dish the rims if they are offset centers..

Thanks folks I will look into those options. The wheels do have more offset if flipped around so that should work for clearance. I may need to adjust the rear track too. Just to be clear, "but that tractor is suited to a large loader", meaning it is heavy duty enough? Hopefully that wasn't a typo meaning it "isn't" suitable?
I have a 55g drum I may turn into concrete ballast for the 3pt hitch too

To go a wider tire will change the steering circle as well as effort. A triple rib gives the least steering effort.

being suited or not refers to the front axle mostly.

in general, any of the machines with the light duty axle that used radius rods are LESS suitable than the non radius rod axles. .. etc..

Well my gpaw put the loader on it in and it is a little oversize.. For the price though I can't complain.. I actually thought about cutting the bucket a few inches narrower on each side...
