Just 2 nuts jammed together so they don't move.

I replaced mine with a Ny-lock, problem solved. Kubota needs to do this at initial assembly, IMO.

same. I have bx 1880 -- used nut with the white nylon washer built in -- available at most hardware stores -- problem solved permanently

as far as diesel treatment goes.. I'm using howe's. No problems, and its been in single digits here for a week.
