Yep a vertical exhaust on a tractor is an important feature. Breathing diesel exhaust isn't exactly the healthiest thing in the world. It's virtually the same as smoking cigarettes.

17 years of using the 755 with the standard exhaust and I never really notice the smell anymore. I remember at first use you might notice. I find dust a bigger issue.

No really the thing I want to pass along is my 4610 was factory ready to GO VERTICAL!
Meaning that with a simple bracket (strap with 2 holes) and a pipe it was easy upgrade (no pun intended). Deere had already installed the lower bracket for me and dished out the side panel.
attached pics are of my manly tears over the camera and the bracket etc.. which shows the panel dish and how the strap bracket attaches to the factory installed mount.

If you wanted to be cheap and yours has a ready to go mount it would not take much to make a strap and bend/flange a pipe
