3/4" cabinet grade plywood on sale

I am not trying to advertise for the store, but the big orange home improvement place has it on sale while supplies last. It is birch, with two good faces (of course), but you may need to pick through the piles to find the ones that haven't had putty put on them. I got two nice pieces that when ripped were bookmatch.

usually around 45-48 got it for 28 a sheet. I was making bookcases, so I had them rip it into two foot widths for free. That is better than my table saw and me wrestling it around.

FOr what it is worth, as I know some of you are tight with money like I am.

I have maple hardwood that I use as a faceframe, kinda goes with it. They have some sapwood parts that might work with walnut faceframes, or even cherry. You have to see the dark ones.

Thanks for the notice. I always admire the smoothness of that expensive plywood on my way to the 3/4" CDX plywood. My daughter has been asking for more bookshelves, so this may be the opportunity I've been waiting for.

WATCH out for China Burch I call it. A whole bunch of the time this bargan birch plyood is the imported variety from China. Looks just like the real stuff but the lamination is weak and it will bubble on you very easily. I use this stuff for cabinet sides and backs but nothing visible to the front. Buyer beware.

I ripped a couple of panels last night, there were some small voids. I didn't notice any obvious difference between this batch and any other batch I have use, but will look closer when the finishing process is being conducted. I looked for some markings to indicate where it had come from, but I didn't see any.

They must have gotten a deal on a big lot of it. I noticed the store in Denton, TX, had it at the same price yesterday.
