I am not trying to advertise for the store, but the big orange home improvement place has it on sale while supplies last. It is birch, with two good faces (of course), but you may need to pick through the piles to find the ones that haven't had putty put on them. I got two nice pieces that when ripped were bookmatch.
usually around 45-48 got it for 28 a sheet. I was making bookcases, so I had them rip it into two foot widths for free. That is better than my table saw and me wrestling it around.
FOr what it is worth, as I know some of you are tight with money like I am.
I have maple hardwood that I use as a faceframe, kinda goes with it. They have some sapwood parts that might work with walnut faceframes, or even cherry. You have to see the dark ones.
