3 PH Sprayer?

I am in the market for a 3-ph 50 (+/-) gallon sprayer. I will be using the sprayer for broadcast spraying in pine plantation tracts and spot spraying along field and trail edges.

My local Kubota dealer carries Ag-Meier sprayers and the MQH55PL-6RA model (Ag-Meier Industries 3-Point Hitch Sprayers) has the features that I am looking for.

Does anyone have any experience with Ag-Meier sprayers?

Are there other brands that I should check out?

I solved this problem last year by purchasing a sprayer at BASS PRO SHOP. Don't remember if it is a 35 gal or a 50 gal. Anyway I mounted it on my 3pt hitch "carrier" that is approx 3'X4' press treated deck over steel frame that I built to carry firewood. I STRAP the tank on the carrier, spray my mile long road and the edges, round-up my food plots for replanting in the spring then flush out and remove the tank for firewood duty when I don't need it it. Just a thought, good luck.

I have the 3PT 55gal with the KLC broadcast nozzle and spray wand. Pleased with it and comes complete with pump. Lot of the box stores sell them w/o pumps. I paid $800 at a local co-op.
I'm sure they have dealers in your area.

Please fill me in on the KLC broadcast nozzle.

The Ag-Meier sprayer I have been looking at claims 30' coverage for their broadcast applicaor. That applicator consists of a pipe (the length of the spray tank) with one nozzle facing downward in the middle and a nozzle at each end facing outward.

It is a single orifice mounted in the middle of the rear bracket and will broadcast 20'-22' wide. I use it instead of arms as I spray edge of woods (loosen clamp and 'aim' toward side) as well as levees and woods trails.

It also comes with several types of heads as well as arms with tips.
I found it while hunting near Greenwood, MS where a plant is. I could have got one there but they did not want to sell to the public. Preferred to go through dealer, which I was ok with. Did find out that they built them as they were ordered in any configuration in the manual and custom builds as well. Very professional plant, small but efficient, friendly and helpful. Parts manager said if I bought one I could order parts directly from them if needed or wanted to change heads.

We have a homemade sprayer. It's a 55gal plastic barrel on a metal frames carry all. Has a 6 roller pump. It also has a teejet nozzle on it. Coverage is in the 50-60 foot range. Depends on height and pressure.

There are 2 kinds. I have both. The fixed is what I use to spray pastures and fields. The swivel is what is on my disinfection sprayer for poultry houses.

Biggest draw back is that once pump gets warn if I don't pay attention and get air in the suction line then I may have trouble getting reprimed. Pumps normally last me 2-3 years. At about 200-300 acres a year.

I built mine with a 125gal tank from TSC and a 7gpm pump and 14ft boom kit from Northern tools. Works great for weed control and fair for low acreage fertilizer. Cost for equipment and metal for 3pt mount about 800.
